William J. Keenan

William J. Keenan, 78, passed away September 27, 2011 at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland, Pa. Born in Ridley Park, Pa, he was a resident of Woodlyn, Pa, before moving to Chester, Pa, in 1960. He has resided there ever since. He attended Eddystone High School and worked for Union Carbide as a machinist and Congoleum as a pipe fitter. He belonged to the American Legion and Riverside Yacht Club. He loved boating, golfing, and his dog Thorn. He was an animal lover and was extremely interested in history. He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army. He was predeceased by his daughter Deborah Keenan and his brothers Owen J., John E., and Robert R. He is survived by his sisters Elaine Rostron and Doloris Hanley; grandchildren Zachary Keenan and Alexandra Kastelic; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and his close friend Joanne Bartley. Funeral service Monday 12pm at the Upland Baptist Church, 325 Main St., Upland, Pa, 19015. Visitation Monday 11am-12pm at the church. Interment Upland Baptist Cemetery.
