Virginia A. Mellor August 18, 1939 - December 13, 2020

Virginia A. Mellor, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on December 13, 2020. Born and raised in South West Philadelphia,. she was a long-time resident of Upper Darby and spent the last 8 years in Brookhaven. She was a graduate of West Catholic High School, class of 1956. She worked for numerous doctor’s offices. Virginia loved to shop, adored her animals, loved Country Western music, and was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Maryann Strecker and her brothers Jimmy, Joe, and Neil.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years Daniel Mellor; her daughter Donna Lynne Johnson (James); and her great grandchildren Jasmine, Brianna, and Madison.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2020, 6-8pm at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Memorial service and burial private. Online condolences can be sent via www.batemanfuneralhome.com.
State mandated occupancy restrictions and social distancing will be observed. Face masks are required.

Visitation Monday, December 21, 6-8PM at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Funeral service and burial will be held privately.

    My sincere condolences to Danny her husband and her daughter Donna. Virginia was the sweetest most loving woman I have ever known she took me in when me and her daughter became friends and treated me as if I was her own we shared so many laughs together I will cherish them we also shared many of tears I will cherish the memories as well Virginia you have always been a strong loving mother wife and friend now it’s time to rest easy and be at home with the Lord you will surely be missed we love and miss you

    My heart goes out to Danny and Donna. I had the pleasure of calling Virginia my friend I worked with Virginia for many years. She was such a joy to be around. Always smiling and willing to help out with anything. She will be greatly missed
