Robert E. “Bob” Carr, 66, of Brookhaven, PA passed away on August 3, 2026, at Riddle Hospital. Born in Lansdowne, PA, he was the son of the late Robert J. and late Mary A. Carr and a graduate of Sun Valley High School, class of 1975.
Bob was a veteran of the US Air Force, stationed in Clovis, NM until 1985 and then made his home with his family in Brookhaven, PA. He enjoyed a long career working for River Mechanical until his retirement in 2024. He was an avid fan and collector of NASCAR and loved the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He loved to dance with his wife and most importantly donating his time to his community for youth sports, where he was very well known and liked. He was a dedicated grandfather, never missing a game or school event. He really enjoyed cooking and loved helping out manning the grill for Pack 493 during Scouting events. He loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased in death by his sisters Kathleen M. Daley and Anne Marie McFadden (Kevin). He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years Noreen Carr (nee O’Donnell); his daughter Danielle, his son Michael Conner and daughter Jennifer Glackin (Kevin), his sister, Eileen Kelly (Paul) and brother-in-law, Kevin McFadden. His Grandchildren Brennin, Riley, Keira, Sean, Gavin and Declan who he cherished deeply. His nephews and nieces Jenell McFadden, Zachary Kelly, Jason Kelly (Morgan), Kelly Hedrick (Joshua) and Stephen Daley as well as his great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews who will treasure their memories of him and miss his famous Chocolate Sundae Pie.
Funeral service Saturday (August 8, 2026) at 11:00am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, PA, 19015 with a visitation beginning at 10:00am. Burial private.
