Paul Douglas Petrillo

Paul Douglas Petrillo, 68, of Upland, Pa, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

Paul was born on April 12,1957, in Germantown. Pa. Raised in Toby Farms, Brookhaven Pa. He graduated from St. James High School in Chester, PA. Following in his father’s footsteps, Paul pursued a career in pharmacy, earning his degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science. After graduating, he joined his parents at their well-loved community business, Petrillo’s Highland Pharmacy, located on 9th and Highland Avenue in Chester, Pa. Paul remained there until his parents’ retirement, in 1996, serving customers with care and commitment.

He continued his career in hospital pharmacy, working at Sacred Heart Hospital and later at Crozer Hospital, where he devoted over 40 years of service until their closure in May of 2025.

Outside of work, He was a Philadelphia Flyers fan and enjoyed the game of ice hockey. As a young adult, he enjoyed playing hockey with his family on the frozen pond at his parents’ home in Concordville, PA—memories he held dear throughout his life.

He also had a passion for photography, film making, chess, and could often be found in old bookstores, happily lost in the pages of books on history, science, and medicine. His love for learning was matched only by his desire to share knowledge, especially when it came to health and wellness. Paul truly cared about educating and guiding others on their health journeys.

Paul will be remembered not only as a devoted pharmacist but also as a kindhearted and thoughtful man who touched countless lives with his generosity, wisdom, and compassion.

He was predeceased in death by his brother Armand Petrillo Jr., and his parents, Armand and Madeline Petrillo.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, and his two children, Natalie and Nicholas (Noah) and granddaughter, Luna Jean, his sister Deborah Petrillo-Leach (Loren) and brother David Petrillo, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

The memorial service will be private.
