Joseph J. Howes, 94, passed from this life into the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ May 29, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Chester, PA, he has been a resident of Glen Mills since 1969. Joe received his BS from Pennsylvania Military College and his Master’s degree from Drexel University for Electrical Engineering. He worked for Kimberley Clarke (formerly Scott Paper) as an electrical engineer for 40 years before his retirement. For many years he enjoyed taking trips to Hawaii with his wife and friends. He was a WWII veteran of the US Air Force where he was a 1st Lieutenant and a navigator in the Pacific. He was predeceased by his wife Edith Howes and his son Thomas Carroll.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law Ginger Carroll; his grandchildren Ryan (Lauren), Daniel (Crissy), and Steven Carroll; and his 3 great grandchildren Collin, Cathryn, and Heath Carroll.
Graveside service Monday 11am at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Ridge Rd., Linwood, PA, 19061.
