Jeanne Keefer Hunn

Jeanne Keefer Hunn, 89, passed away June 11, 2017 at her home. She was a long time resident of Morton, PA, but spent the last 15 years in Wallingford and Brookhaven. Jeanne was a real estate agent for 25 years. A very impressive thing in the 60’s as a woman, she was also a Feature Writer for the Daily Times writing “The Lubber Line” for 20 years. She was an avid boater and belonged to the Coast Guard Auxilliary where she was a past commodore in the first all-women’s flotilla, which she helped to found. She was an instructor for Weather and Safe Boat Handling, Knot Tying, and Water Safety. She also loved playing bridge, square dancing, and bowling which she played in a league for many years. Jeanne was a very accomplished woman who wouldn’t have thought of herself as a feminist, but was definitely ahead of her time. Anything she put her mind to she would accomplish and passed along those ideals to her children. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children William Roland, III (Janet Gibbons), Lois Hunn, and Gail Hunn(Jay Lehrback); her brother Richard Keefer; and her 3 grandchildren Katie, Hannah, and Ted.
