Irene A. Ruth May 5, 1921 - July 14, 2015

Irene A. “Kitty” Ruth, 94, passed away July 14, 2015 at Naamans Creek Country Manor. Born in Virginia she was a long time resident of Brookhaven, Pa, before moving to Naamans Creek Country Manor. She was a graduate of Nether Providence High School and was a former Recorder of Deeds at Media Court House. She was a former member of Parkside Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School. She belonged to the Busy Bees, a craft and sewing group. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years Charles Ruth who passed away in 2004 and her son Charles M. Ruth.

She is survived by her daughter in law Lynne Ruth; her 2 grandchildren Daria and Jeffrey Ruth; her great granddaughter Kennedy Ruth; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral service Monday 11am at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Monday 10:30-11am at the funeral home. Interment Chester Rural Cemetery, Chester, Pa. Condolences can be sent via www.batemanallenfuneralhome.com
