Fred H. Marriott

Fred H. Marriott, 91, passed away September 11, 2010 at Taylor Hospice in Ridley Park, Pa.
Born in Nottingham, England, he lived in Buckman Village, Chester, for many years before moving to Media, Pa, in 1970.
He graduated from Chester High School.
He was employed with the Philadelphia Electric Company at Chester Generating Station and Peach Bottom Atomic Station from which he retired in 1978.
He was a former member of Providence Ave. U.M. Church in Chester, Pa, for 41 years. He served on the Board of Trustees and in many other capacities before joining Christ U.M. Church in Brookhaven, Pa. He really enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling, and cruising.
He served in the United States Army during WWII during 1940-1945. He served in China, Burma India Theatre attaining a rank of Staff Sgt.
He was predeceased by his parents, the late Ernest and Annie Marriott, and his brother the late Arthur W. Marriott.
He was married to the love of his life Mary Marriott for 58 years and was also survived by nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service on Wednesday Sept. 22, 2010 11:30am at Christ U.M. Church, 600 Dutton Mill Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Interment private.
