Elizabeth Joan Hart (nee Lipton), 88, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2016 at Riddle Village. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from Upper Darby High School. A longtime resident of Brookhaven, she was an active member of Our Lady of Charity Parish and a proud member of the Charitians. She volunteered in the school library and lunch program for many years. An avid Phillies and Villanova fan, Betty cherished most her time and celebrations with family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her son, John W. Hart, Jr. Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, John W. Hart, Sr.; her loving children, Mary Nardo (Michael) of Wilmington, DE, Elizabeth Cattie (Late Nicholas) of Southampton, PA, David Hart (Emma) of California, and Joseph Hart of Brookhaven, PA; her brother, Robert Lipton of Broomall, PA. Grandmom will be sadly missed by 10 grandchildren and 5 great children.
Funeral Mass 11am, Saturday, November 26th at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Saturday 9:30am-11:00am at the church.
