Edward J. Tallant, III, 79, passed away February 8, 2017 at Cancer Center of America. Born in Philadelphia, Pa, he has been a resident of Brookhaven, PA, for the last 40 years and a previous resident of Aston. He was a graduate of West Catholic High School and Villanova University. He was a Manager for Girard Bank for 35 years before his retirement and then proceeded to work for the State of Delaware. He was in the United States National Guard, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and an active member of Our Lady of Charity Church. Ed was an avid sports fan and closely followed the Philadelphia teams. He enjoyed going to the shore, casinos, bowling, and numismatics. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 43 years Marie P. Tallant and his parents Edward Jr. and Anna Tallant.
He is survived by his siblings Anna Lois Friel, Katherine Tallant, Paul Tallant, Patricia Tallant, Michael Tallant, and Barbara Shannon; 12 nieces and nephews, and 27 grand nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass Saturday 11am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, Pa, 19015. Visitation Saturday 10-11am at the church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Pa.
