Daniel W. Humphries

Daniel W. Humphries, a devoted husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 79.

Daniel was the loving son of the late Arthur and Ruth Humphries. He was raised in Rehoboth Beach, DE and graduated from Lewes High School in 1964. He honorably served 4 years in the United States Air Force. Daniel proudly worked as a machinist at the United States Navy Yard for 20 years. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.  He was a true Philly fan celebrating every victory and commiserating with every loss. It was an honor for him to see the Eagles win two Super Bowls. Daniel had a love for the beach and fishing, especially with the Rod Squad. Christmas was his favorite holiday and loved meticulously wrapping each gift for his loved ones. He cherished every moment spent with his family and friends. We will miss his warm smile, his unforgettable laugh, and his generous heart.

Daniel was the beloved husband of Margaret Humphries for 47 years; loving father of Christopher (Sheila) Humphries; cherished grandfather of 3 grandchildren Kienan, Eamon, and Mairin Humphries. Daniel was the loving brother to the late Randy (Margie) Humphries; cherished brother to Jackie (Bob) Humphries and Ed (Traci) Humphries. Daniel will be greatly missed by his loving nephews, family, and lifelong friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, starting at 11:00AM and Memorial Service to follow at 12:00PM at the Bateman-Allen Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Avenue, Brookhaven, PA 19015.
