Constance H. Johnson

Constance H. Johnson (nee Keegan), 100, of Lima Estates, Media, PA, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023, at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

Born in Chester, PA, she lived at Lima Estates for the past 22 years. She formerly lived in Brookhaven, PA, for 47 years. She was a 1940 graduate of Notre Dame High School, Moylan, PA, and a 1943 graduate of the old Chester Hospital School of Nursing. She later received a B.S.N. degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked as an operating room supervisor at Chester Hospital and Crozer Chester Medical Center. The last 18 years of her nursing career were spent as a community nurse in Chester, PA. She retired from nursing in 1986.

She was a member of Our Lady of Charity Roman Catholic Church, where she was a lector and was active in parish affairs. She was also a member of the Charitians, the senior citizens club.

Connie was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Mary Alice (Smith) Keegan and the widow of the late Samuel F. Johnson. She was also predeceased by her brothers Edward, John, James, and Thomas, Jr. and one sister Catherine Monica Keegan Haller.

She is survived by her beloved son James E. Spicer of Topsham, Maine, many nieces and one nephew.

Funeral Mass Friday 11am at Our Lady of Charity Church, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA, 19015. Visitation Friday 10am-11am at the church. Burial St. Thomas the Apostle, Chester Heights, PA.
