Daniel Joseph Vay September 4, 1979 - December 15, 2020

Daniel Joseph Vay (“Danny”), 41, born September 4, 1979 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, died suddenly in his home on December 15, 2020.

Danny is survived by his loving mother Roberta M. Cucchi; devoted partner Christina G. Fynes; Children: Daniel D. Vay, Kayla N. Vay and Gianna C. Vay; Stepfather Gerald P. Cucchi; siblings: David M. Vay (Dawn), Christina M. Leary (Daniel), Ryan M. Cucchi, Angela R. Cucchi (Eric); Aunt: Terrie L. Shepard; Uncle: William J. Lowe (Mary); many cousins, nieces and friends.

He is pre-deceased by his Aunt Virginia A. Lowe (4/13/17) and Grandmother Mary E. Lowe (9/13/20).

In the words of his late grandmother, Danny was a free spirit. He had a charismatic personality and had an amazing ability to command attention and light up the room.

In his early years, he enjoyed skateboarding and rollerblading. You could always catch him at CN skate palace on a Friday or Saturday night hanging with old friends and constantly making new ones. That was just Danny; he was easy to get along with, always full of energy and enthusiasm. He could always make you laugh with his inappropriate humor. Always loud, always proud.

Danny was very generous with his time and services. He loved feeling needed and helping others in any way that he could; it gave him purpose.

He was very creative and had an appreciation for urban art, music and tattoos. Also skilled at cutting hair, Danny was always willing to help out a friend or family member with a quick shape-up whenever needed.

Danny was also a seasoned landscaper.

He could often be seen around his neighborhood cutting grass, gardening or shoveling snow. He wasn’t afraid of the work.

If you asked him what he loved the most in this life, he would say his children and family, especially his mother who showed him unconditional love and support throughout his life, no matter what.

He is and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
